There's an East Village feel to this pretty bistro in the middle of nowhere. The menu is small and meaty, with flat iron steak, hamburger, baby back ribs with hoisin sauce and grilled pork chops. However, Underwood also offers a delicious salmon with mushrooms, as well as some Thai specialties. These include pad see ew - the inevitable thick rice noodles - the famous Hat Yai fried chicken, and yam woon sen.

The food absolutely delicious!!! One of the best tuna tartars I’ve ever had. With the kindest staff ever! The atmosphere was nice as well with nice booths and a warm lighting.

Excellent all round. I had the Moroccan Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious.

A hidden gem in a very small town (Graton) in Western Sonoma County. Never had a bad meal or experience ar Underwood.

The food was delicious and the ambiance is cute and cozy, but our host made us feel incredibly unwelcome. Not sure we’ll return.

I can’t stand going to this place. My wife thinks it’s ok so we end up here a couple times a year. It’s terrible every time. The service is so spotty. Tonight we waited for over an hour to get our food after ordering. The waitress rarely came out to us (we were sitting in their out door area). I had the burger and they give you no sauces for the burger I have made the mistake of asking for ketchup and mustard before only to have waited for a half hour for it to come out to put on my cold burger. Tonight I just ate it dry. There are burgers you can eat dry and they are still great (try Handline in Sebastopol if you haven’t), but this one was just meat in a bun. No flavor.
