Not far from the Botanical Gardens, this beautiful church with its imposing façade was built in the mid-19th century. It was designed by Alejandro Ravizza (architect of the Cathedral and Pantheon, among other buildings) at the request of Carlos Antonio López, to serve as the López family's private chapel and mausoleum. The interior features magnificent paintings on wood and altarpieces previously housed in the Franciscan church of Yaguarón.
