We celebrate the work of the women of Itauguá who produce this magnificent lace, emblematic of Paraguayan craftsmanship.
The Festival Nacional del Ñandutí is a great festival that pays tribute to one of the emblems of national craftsmanship, the ñandutí, the famous embroidery made by hundreds of women from the rural areas of Itauguá. The festival has been held every year since 1970, at the beginning of March, and is considered "National Heritage of Crafts and Folklore". The event attracts a lot of people from the capital and elsewhere to attend exhibitions, fashion shows, ballets, concerts, etc.
