MUSEO SAN RAFAEL
In a beautiful colonial house in front of the church, this museum is named after Saint Rafael, in homage to the oldest Franciscan sculpture in Itauguá, which dates back to 1600. The museum, which was created by the parish in 1964, displays Franciscan and Jesuit sculptures of saints, as well as paintings and furniture from the colonial period. The room dedicated to the ñandutí is interesting. The manufacturing process is explained and a wide variety of pieces are exhibited, with the designation of the motifs. There is also a room dedicated to the Chaco War.
