A family restaurant appreciated for its traditional specialities, most often cooked in tatakuá (traditional wood-fired oven). The menu offers almost all the dishes of the Paraguayan comida tipica but also some vegetarian dishes. Cancho (pork) is a treat, and strawberry (frutilla) or passion fruit (mburucuya) juices are delicious. We eat in the garden under a palm tree roof, or inside in a room with a warm atmosphere. A Areguá classic, still often known by its former name, La Palmera.

In the shaded garden or in a warm interior, you taste in Palmera all Paraguayan specialities, notably the dishes cooked with the tatakuá (oven with charcoal). The fruit juices fresh, particularly the strawberry juice, are excellent. The service can be longer Sunday when the restaurant is very popular.
