Takuara Renda is a national reference in bio-construction and permaculture. A project by the Argentine architect Guillermo Gayo, who settled some twenty years ago in the vicinity of Sapucái, on land that had suffered a serious fire. Today there is a vast bamboo grove and houses built of natural materials, completely integrated into the vegetation. Takuara (a species of bamboo) is the central element of Guillermo's project, which organizes workshops on permaculture and sustainable architecture.
