In the house of La Colmena's first administrator, the museum displays photos of Japanese immigrant families and portraits of the colony's founders, including military physician Hideho Tanaka. Also on display are photos of Agustina Miranda de González, who did much to bring Paraguayan-Japanese culture closer together, but who was close to Stroessner. Most people in La Colmena dislike this woman, who was closely involved in the dictatorial regime.
