In a beautiful colonnaded house dating from 1842, which served as a school at the time, this museum is dedicated to Fermín López, the teacher of the children who fought in the Battle of Acosta Ñu, in August 1869, at the end of the Triple Alliance War. It exhibits many historical pieces, including works by the Guaireño poet Natalicio Talavera, musical instruments by local artists, and a 1600 canoe carved in one piece from a timbó tree.
