Half an hour's drive from Ayolas along a gravel track, this 100-hectare wildlife refuge is part of the ecological compensation measures for the Yacyretá complex. It is home to hundreds of mammals, reptiles and birds, kept free or in cages that are sometimes quite small... These animals have been rescued from the rising waters of the dam, or from animal traffickers. The guided tour is an interesting one to take with children.
