In a colonial house that served as headquarters for Marshal López, the museum is named after a hero of the Great War, who became the husband of Juanita Pesoa (after the death of López, who had three children with Juanita). Paintings by Bartolomé Martínez, one of which shows the women of the village bringing their jewellery to the marshal to finance the war effort. Also a sketch of the church of Humaitá before its destruction and the reconstruction of Juanita's room.
