One of the most traditional hotels in Paraguay. It was built in 1958 with local stone, on a hillside in lush vegetation. The 60 rooms are of varying comfort and size, but a renovation started with the new administration in 2019. Tirol has several swimming pools and a restaurant. It's nice on weekdays, but summer weekends are busy. To reach the ruins of Trinidad, about ten kilometres away, catch a bus on the side of the road, or have a taxi called by the reception.
