Dannemarie's river and riverbanks provide a natural habitat for a wide range of bird species
The Largue crosses the communal bench from south to north before passing under the Rhone-Rhine Canal at Wolfersdorf under the arches of the famous Pont-Canal. The river and its banks are a natural habitat for many species of birds. The kingfisher is undoubtedly the most popular, as is the curlew. Two cycle paths allow you to discover this unspoilt environment: one follows the route of the old Dannemarie-Pfetterhouse railroad line, the other allows you to reach Mulhouse by following the Rhone-Rhine canal.
