MUSEO "SALVADOR GAROZZO"
This historical museum was founded in 1997 by Salvador Garozzo, a descendant of the first French settlers of Nueva Burdeos. This endearing character, who passed away in 2011, always had lots of anecdotes about his ancestors, and proudly wore his beret! The cheerful mess, displaying thousands of antiques of all kinds, has been reorganized by his daughter Doña Marité Garozzo, after renovating the beautiful house housing the museum. This house was in 1970 the provisional headquarters of the Argentinean General Bartolomé Mitre. A treat for fans of Paraguayan history.
