The Seminole Theater, formerly the Airdome Theatre, has an unusual history, as it was built in Miami in 1912 before being dismantled and moved to Homestead. Completely destroyed by fire in 1940, it was rebuilt with the beautiful Art Deco facade it has today. Films were shown there until its closure in 1973. After falling into disuse, it was finally saved by the city of Homestead and reopened in 2015. The unique venue now hosts a varied program of dance, music and theater performances.
