Wild promontory constituting the meeting point of the waters of the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea
This wild promontory represents the last point of Puglia and the heel of Italy. It is the point where the waters of the Adriatic Sea meet those of the Ionian Sea. The place is located after the beaches and is indicated by an Italian flag. One feels here at the end of the world, at the tip of the Raz of Salento! Beautiful panorama on the bay of Santa Maria di Leuca and on the cape Meliso dominated by the lighthouse and the basilica. It is also possible to reach the grotta del Diavolo, a sea cave dug into the promontory to a depth of thirty metres.
