CASTELLO ANGIOINO ARAGONESE
Castle having known architectural evolutions offering a beautiful sight on the sea
In the centre of the medieval village stands the castle of Agropoli, with a triangular base, whose foundation dates back to the time of the Byzantine domination (6th century). The building underwent various architectural changes over time, first under the Normans and then the Swabians. It was profoundly transformed in the 15th century at the behest of the Counts Sanseverino. Today, only the surrounding walls and the three towers remain. Take a walk along the ramparts and admire the view of the sea.
