This church near Suuremõsa is the oldest in the town.
Near Suuremõsa, the town's oldest church dates back to the 13th century. But don't leave without visiting Põhilise Leppe Kivid, a strange place of granite stones scattered over lichen soil 350 m to the north. Some say it's a pagan site, others that it's Swedish-era tombs or what remains of the early construction of a pyramid copied from the Egyptian model. The adjacent chapel houses the sarcophagus of Duchess Ebba-Margaretha Stenbock, descendant of Jacob de La Gardie.
