WIND MILLS

Continuing along this coastal road towards Leisi (quite close to the port of Triigi), we will reach Angla. Here, in the middle of the countryside, appears the only mountain in Saaremaa where the village windmills were built. At one time, every village had a windmill, but gradually they all disappeared. In 1925, for example, there were 13 farms in Angla and 9 windmills. Today, 5 have been preserved. On the spot, you can admire these old wooden mills which embellish the landscape. A nice detour that doesn't take much time.
