CASTLE OF SANGASTE
This former Gothic Revival red-brick manor house in Otepää is considered a distant copy of Windsor Castle.
25 km down the road from Valga is Sangaste Castle, considered a distant copy of Windsor Castle. Above all, it's a quirky neo-Gothic red-brick manor house. Sparsely furnished, it's perfect for a quick coffee break on the road, but not worth a special detour. It was built in 1874 for the famous Baltic scientist Magnus von Berg. The reception room on the first floor displays the hunting trophies of the former owners. The park is ideal for botany enthusiasts.
