Excavations carried out since the 1950s under the church of Santa Restituta have revealed a crypt and a baptistery from the early Christian period, as well as Punic and Greco-Roman tombs and a ceramic workshop dating back to the Greek colony. The museum displays the archaeological finds from the excavations as well as a collection of liturgical objects and ceramic tableware from all periods, from antiquity to the 20th century.
