This is Kastraki's busiest tavern. Nothing original, but we like the location, in the heart of the old village, near the main church (1930s) and the pretty square where the Geological Museum is located. Classic dishes (grilled meats, salads, mezze, moussaka) and Italian-style pastas are served in the dining room with fireplace, on the terrace (with a view of the Meteora Mountains) or in a shady alleyway. Tsipouro and dessert are offered at the end of the meal. The owners also run the Boutique Guesthouse Plakias (8 rooms).
