The town hall tower dates back to 1442 and offers a magnificent view over the roofs of Innsbruck and also over the Bergisel, the Patscherkofel, the Inn and the Nordkette. 133 steps and 31 meters high, this tower was used in the past to keep watch, to monitor the surroundings and to alert the inhabitants in case of imminent danger. Located right next to the town hall, it is a very good point of reference to find one's way around the town without having one's nose constantly on the map. Beautiful sundial on the façade.
