The pride of the city, built between 1531 and 1539, this concert hall was first a storage place for wheat and then for the Electorate's weapons and ammunition. The building was destroyed by Allied bombing in April 1945, leaving only the outer walls of the Reitstadel. It was rebuilt as close as possible to the original building. Nowadays, it is used for musical performances of all kinds, temporary exhibitions and is of minor tourist interest.
