WOLFSPARK WERNER FREUND - WOLF PARK WERNER FREUND
The Wolf: first admired and revered by the Germanic peoples, it is then feared, hunted and time throughout the Middle Ages. Today, although it has almost disappeared in the wild of the German forests, it is still possible to observe it in its natural environment: the Réserve wolf reserve! In a small forest at the entrance to the city, there are about fascinating animals, grey wolves of Europe, but also white wolves of Alaska, wolves of India and Siberian wolves. Here, we are not satisfied with the canids, their behaviour has also been studied there since 1977 on the initiative of Werner Freund, who died in 2014. The researcher devoted his entire life to studying these animals and restoring their image. On the reserve, the animals all arrived at the age of louveteaux and grew under almost wild conditions. An unusual experience that will delight small and large.
