Unchanged factory built in 1873 to produce iron and steel until 1986, to be visited for 2-3 hours.
The Völklinger Hütte is a steelworks created during the golden age of industrialization in 1873. Since its demise in 1986, the site has been redesigned as an immersive museum. A several-kilometre-long trail allows visitors to discover the history of the blast furnaces, while exploring works of urban art. In some areas, nature has reclaimed its rights, transforming the former site into a veritable "Paradise"!
