MONTSERRAT MUSEUM
Museum with the work of the modernist architect with one of the best collections of Catalan painting of that time
The museum building is the work of the illustrious modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch who, between 1928 and 1933, participated in the renovation project of the monastery squares. This museum, whose wealth is hardly suspected when one comes to Montserrat to visit its sanctuary, consists of six sections. The "Painting of the 19th and 20th Centuries" section is probably the most significant as it brings together one of the best collections of Catalan painting from this period. A marvel not to be missed under any circumstances.
