BLUE MOUND STATE PARK
Park on top of the highest hill in South Wisconsin with 2 towers over 10 m high at its east and west ends.
400 million years ago, when glaciers came down from the north to erode the hills and level the landscape, they forgot the Blue Mound area, leaving it as an island in the middle of an ocean of ice. When they withdrew, Blue Mound remained untouched, which is why the park is located at the top of the highest hill in South Wisconsin, overlooking the surrounding countryside. Two towers over 10 m high have been erected at the eastern and western ends of the park. From the east tower, you can see the Madison Capitol.
