BOUCLE DU GRAND RÛ
Departure and arrival: hamlet Chanavey - Rhêmes-Notre-Dame at 1,685 metres. Vertical drop: 185 metres. Duration: 1h50.
Leaving the hamlet of Chanavey, you will reach the hamlet of Canavesan by following the torrent on the right bank and then going up by the mule track. Going up again briefly, you will cross the Grand Ru, which you will follow to the right on a flat route, before going down to the hamlet of Chaudanne. After reaching the village and the lake of Pellaud, you will find the starting point by following the nature trail of the Grand-Paradiso National Park at the bottom of the valley. It is a very interesting route to discover the alpine architecture and to walk in the larch woods where you can caress the soft needles.
