DRENTS MUSEUM
Museum a few kilometers northwest of Emmen, exhibiting objects from Roman times found during excavations.
35 km northwest of Emmen, in the town of Assen, this museum of fine art and natural history is housed in a completely renovated former convent. It boasts an impressive collection of archaeological finds dating back to Roman times, Dutch visual arts, art from 1885 to 1935, contemporary figurative art and the cultural history of Drenthe. An underground space was created between 2009 and 2011, as well as a labyrinthine garden with the particularity of being in bloom all year round.
