VVV WALCHEREN EN NOORD-BEVELAND
Middelbourg is a town rich in history and curiosities. A stroll through the old town center will take you back in time. Don't miss the Koepoort, the only one of the town's eight ancient gates still standing, and the magnificent Kloveniersdoelen house, once home to the archers' guild. At the heart of the town lies Middelbourg Abbey, now home to the Zeeuws Museum. The Lange Jan abbey tower offers a magnificent view of the Walcheren peninsula. You can also visit the 15th-century late-Gothic town hall and the market square. Middelbourg also boasts numerous restaurants, cafés and boutiques where you can sample local specialties and do some shopping. The town is also an ideal base for exploring the region, including the towns of Vlissingen and Domburg, and the beaches of Walcheren.
