OF MORIAAN
De Moriaan, built in the 13th century, was part of the old wall that surrounded the market place
Erected in the 13th century, De Moriaan is the city's oldest brick house (if not the oldest stone building in the Netherlands!). It was part of the old wall surrounding the market square and was renovated in the 1960s. The façade probably dates back to the 14th century. This historic house is home to Den Bosch's municipal store and information point, where you can find out all you need to know about the town. In the basement, you can admire the splendid wooden beams that are still visible. In a word, superb.
