Home to the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Pierre-de-Goult, a true medieval gem.
La Lande-de-Goult is home to a Romanesque chapel, a true medieval gem. It is one of the last vestiges of the Lonlay Abbey founded by Guillaume de Bellême in the 11th century. Its originality lies in its architecture: 6 sculpted capitals have been placed on either side of the porch. The themes are inspired by a bestiary and the art of illumination. On the left, three of the capitals feature birds, and on the right, hunting scenes.
