MUSÉE DE LA NAVIGATION
Museum offering a multimedia experience retracing the history of navigation through models and numerous objects.
Established in 1974, the German Inland Navigation Museum offers an insight into the Ruhrort district, a major European port complex. In this huge space (the former Ruhrort indoor swimming pool), a multimedia experience on three floors awaits you, tracing the history of navigation. Numerous models and objects are on display, including a Rhine dugout canoe from the 4th century! The visit would not be complete without a visit to the two museum ships moored at the pontoon: the tug Oscar Huber and the steam dredger Minden. A very interesting visit for the whole family.
