Marikenstraat is Nijmegen's fashion district, an ultra-modern, albeit unassuming space. Built between 1998 and 2000, this artery-gallery spans two floors, offering a succession of varied boutiques: clothing, bookstores, perfumeries, video games, shoes and more. There are also restaurants and cafés for a welcome break. Even if it's not the most typical place in town, it's well worth a visit and a stroll. The talent for arranging the stores is notable.
