DE WAAGH
Renaissance-style public weighbridge with a restaurant on the first floor in Nijmegen.
At the center of the square stands the public weighbridge, built in 1612 in the Renaissance style. Its stooped facade blends the red and black of the shutters with the dark red of the brickwork. The first floor is occupied by a restaurant. Next door is a group of 4 houses built in the 17th century. One of them, with a vaulted passageway and decorated gable (1605), leads to the Saint-Étienne church. Today, you can eat, drink and party in this illustrious building!
