A beautiful watchtower with a beautiful fireplace, classified as a historical monument, an address to discover in Nijmegen.
Le Belvédère is the name given to a watchtower (1640) of the former enceinte, located in a park. Listed as a historic monument, it is very well preserved, and features an attractive oak fireplace with sandstone cheeks dating from 1626. The stone façade dates from 1646. Today, it's a party room for private events (often weddings), with a terrace overlooking the Waal. Unfortunately, it can't be visited, but it's a magnificent building to admire on a stroll.
