The airport is a hub for the local company Hainan Airlines, but also for other Chinese companies. Several domestic and international flights are possible from Haikou Meilan, including Beijing, Shanghai, Canton and Shenzhen, but also to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Hanoi, Seoul, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
