HONG KONG RAILWAY MUSEUM
A museum displaying the development of the Kowloon-Canton railway line and many vintage carriages
The Hong Kong Railway Museum is an open-air museum located in the former Tai Po Market station. The station was built in 1913 on the model of a Chinese temple! Occupying some 6,500m2, the museum uses both the old station building and outdoor spaces to display locomotives, vintage railcars, uniforms and railway equipment. The exhibition traces the development of Hong Kong's railway network, and in particular that of the Kowloon-Canton line. A fun and interesting visit.
