PLOVER COVE RESERVOIR
A wooded park with several small waterfalls, it is very popular at weekends during the hiking season
Located in the eponymous Country Park, Plover Cove Reservoir is a superb site surrounded by lush green hills and breathtaking sea views. The world's first saltwater reservoir to be converted to freshwater, it is also one of Hong Kong's largest reservoirs. It is particularly popular for its outdoor activities, such as hiking and cycling from the village of Tai Mei Tuk. Don't miss the dike that runs alongside the reservoir. It is accessible on foot or by bike and offers superb panoramic views.
