Built in 1889, this temple dedicated to Hung Shing, one of the marine gods revered by fishermen in southern China, is now a monument classified and rewarded by UNESCO. Its architecture is typical of small village temples; its exposure to the violent storms that hit the island explains that it had to be renovated four times since its creation, one last in the year 2000.
