PROVINCIAL MUSEUM OF HUNAN

Approximately 100 000 historical pieces are assembled here, more than 700 of which are of national heritage importance: bronzes, soies, calligraphy and porcelain, including several masterpieces due to artists who have succumbed to the bucolic charm of the Hunan landscapes. But what constitutes the highlight of the museum is the archaeological relics of the Han tombs of Mawangdui, including the mummy of a woman: Xin Zhui, now 2 000 years old. Even its organs could be preserved! An interesting visit.
