LES PLATANES TRICENTENAIRES
Two splendid three-hundred-year-old plane trees set back from the heart of L'Aigle, on the new greenway
This little haven of peace, slightly set back from the heart of L'Aigle, features two splendid plane trees, each 25 meters high and with a crown 30 meters in diameter. Planted in the early 18th century, these plane trees are classified as "remarkable trees" and were once part of the château's park. They are now the perfect backdrop for walks along a recently-developed greenway along the Risle, or for relaxing on the belvedere. In July and August, concerts are held under the plane trees at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
