Obtain the map-guide (free of charge) at the tourist office and follow the historical route. From the Maison Marie-Stuart and its sculpted half-timbering to the oldest house in the town (12th century), L’Aigle has many old houses, particularly on the banks of the Risle. Continue as far as the Saint-Barthélemy church, made of Grisons stone, then take the rue de la Blanchisserie, via the bridges over the Risle. You will discover two impressive plane trees, planted in 1692!
