LE TAPIS VERT
An unlikely cultural space in nature. It is the former hunting house of the little nephew of the Marquis de Mirabeau, built in 1884. Subsequently, it became the property of the Persan family, then of Louis Millot, Secretary of State, and finally, in 1955, it was arranged as a family pension by Simone and Auguste Galodé. Since 1982, Le Tapis Vert has become a centre of residence and artistic creation, under the aegis of the Association des Rencontres Vert Verte. With its vast wooded park and dependencies, it is a blend of culture and nature. A queued piano plays its notes and operas repeat in a renovated barn, a yoga internship takes place in another, under the circus tent capitals, a number is being prepared for the trapeze, in the arboretum, a group is on a botanical visit. A couple straddles a trail to join the forest basket in search of fungi. This site is full of life and peace at the same time.
