COOBERIE PARK WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
This 10-hectare site, created by a European botanist, is a refuge for sick, injured or orphaned wild animals.
Zoo, sanctuary, refuge... One can sometimes get lost in it! Originally created as a park by a European botanist, Cooberie has become a 10-hectare refuge for sick, injured or orphaned wild animals as well as confiscated illegal wildlife. Every day at 1pm, the caretakers invite you to interact with the animals by telling you their stories. Koalas, snakes, cockatoos, wombats, crocodiles... the range is diverse!
