TECHATTICUP MINE
Techatticup Mine perfect for visiting one of the oldest mines in Southern Nevada
Those interested in the subject can visit one of southern Nevada's oldest gold mines, in operation from 1861 to 1942: the Techatticup Mine. For forty years, steamboats on the Colorado River were the main access route to this mine. Here you can see the quartz veins in which the gold and silver flowed. You'll also have the opportunity to wander through the ghost town, with its many old wooden houses, vintage vehicles and a few airplane wrecks. The site has been used for film shoots.
