ROBERT TRENT JONES GOLF TRAIL AT HIGHLAND OAKS
Located in the southeast corner of Alabama, Highland Oaks at Dothan is a golf resort offering three 9-hole championship courses as well as a 9-hole short course. The Highlands/Magnolia course has been named by Golf Digest as one of the best value courses in the USA. This 36-hole complex features some of the longest and most classic holes on the circuit. The nine championship holes were redesigned with TifEagle Ultradwarf greens in 2020, as was the practice area with new greens for short game and putting. Each nine-hole course has its own personality. The Highlands course is relatively open with several lakes in play on four of the nine holes, including a peninsula green. The Magnolia course is aptly named: magnolia trees dot the higher ground, accessible via a 300-meter wooden bridge across a marsh. The Marshwood course is famous (or infamous) for its giant par 5 sixth hole, which stretches 701 yards from the tees. The short course is a 9-hole par 3 designed to accommodate players of all levels, with towering pine trees and 3 holes with water.
