Ecomuseum in an old cider farmhouse, with a reconstructed boiler and a collection of objects and tools

In the small, picturesque town of Le Sap, with its half-timbered houses and red-brick buildings, the Ecomusée de la Pomme has set up shop on the attractive site of the Grand Jardin, a former farm. In this building, which housed a cider mill until 1937, a collection of cider-making objects is on display. You'll see an old gadage (the circular stone trough in which the millstone of the press turns) and a distillery known as a "bouillerie".

Ancienne ferme de trois hectares regroupant de nombreux bâtiments : ancienne étable, chaumière...et cidrerie. Visite rapide du musée dans lequel sont exposés des centaines d'objets permettant la découverte du processus de production du cidre. (Payante). Accès libre au parc dans lequel vous trouverez un jardin potager ainsi qu'un verger. Parking gratuit et tables de pique-nique à disposition.

Le sap en auge est une ravissante commune dont le patrimoine architectural mériterait une rénovation pour permettre la conservation d'un trésor de colombages typique de la Normandie. A quand une aide réelle à notre belle ruralite ?

Le site internet Tourisme Normandie, il est annoncé que l'écomusée est ouvert du mardi au dimanche ainsi que les jours fériés. Une fois arrivés devant le 14 juillet, pas un chat.....
