This steamboat race is held in Louisville, on the Ohio River, on the Wednesday before the Kentucky Derby, the famous horse race that all of America expects every year. The first Steamboat Race took place in 1963. It's one of the festivities of the Kentucky Derby Festival. The Belle of Louisville faces the Belle of Cincinnati. Possibility to attend the race on board the boats and even to have a dinner cruise! A steam calliope organ competition has been held between the two Belles since 2014.
