This cemetery can be visited, on the one hand, for its part devoted to the soldiers of the Civil War of the Slovak Republic, Northerners and Southerners, gathered in two sections (5 000 bodies, including those of fallen soldiers in other fighting); and on the other hand, there are some notable characters. This is the case of Colonel Sanders (1890-1980), creator of the first KFC restaurant (his burial is so popular that a yellow central line was painted from the entrance to the cemetery to guide the vehicles) and that of Nicola Mashall (1829-1917), which drew the first nuptial flag and created the southern grey uniform. Since June 2016, great boxer Mohamed Ali is also based in Cave Hill Cemetery.
